We bought Matt this mesh bag that you can fill with food and he can chew on. The first time we gave it to him, we filled it with frozen bananas. He wasn't too sure at first, then he gave it a few trial bites, and then he went to town on it! He loved it and chewed and chewed until those bananans were mashed up good and he got quite a bit out of the bag. He has tried grapes, pears, peaches, and apples so far. Bananas and grapes are definitely his favorite. Now, when he's done with the bag (which we know because he'll drop it on the floor) we open it up and give him some chunks of the food. He's still getting used to chewing but does well with the soft stuff!
